Planned Giving

The term planned giving, sometimes called deferred giving, refers to charitable gifts that require some careful planning before they are made, and includes some estate tax benefits to the extent allowed by law. A planned gift to Women’s Health (Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center) is one of the best ways you can support reproductive choice and affordable reproductive healthcare for generations to come. Gifts to Women’s Health allow us to support and protect, as a fundamental right and value, a woman’s freedom to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.

To honor those individuals who have included Women’s Health in their estate plans, or who have created other types of gifts through thoughtful planning, we have established a Legacy Society of Women’s Health. Its purpose is to thank and pay tribute to those who give with an eye to the future.

We invite you to join the Legacy Society in one of the following ways:

  • Make a bequest to Women’s Health (Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center) in your will or revocable trust.
  • Make Women’s Health a beneficiary of an I.R.A. or other retirement plan.
  • Make Women’s Health owner of a paid-up life insurance policy or the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

Why might you consider the Legacy Society? Two major reasons stand out:

(1) So that you can play a role in ensuring that Women’s Health will be able to implement your wishes for the future.
(2) So that we can thank you personally, even if you wish to keep the details of your plan confidential or your gift anonymous.

From time to time we invite Legacy Society members to special events, and we would be most pleased to have you as a member. If you decide to inform us of your confidential plans but want to remain anonymous, we will respect your wishes for anonymity.

We recommend that you first discuss these options with your financial advisor or attorney, but feel free to contact us if:

  • If you would like more information or would just like to talk with us.
  • If you would like to discuss your ideas before making gift plans.
  • If you believe that you are eligible for membership in the Legacy Society and would like to share your plans confidentially.

The following information is provided to assist you and your attorney:

  • The legal name of the organization is Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center, Inc.
  • Women’s Health is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and is organized under the laws of the State of Colorado.
